Snow flurries on Plan de Corones

Enjoying winter sports is right within reach when you stay with us. It is just 300 meters to the nearest lifts on Plan de Corones – South Tyrol's biggest skiing mountain with ski runs to every point of the compass. So skiing fun is as easy as walking out the front door.

Skiing & snowboarding

Plan de Corones is South Tyrol's No. 1 skiing mountain – and you will be living right at the foot of this unique ski resort, with 119 km of guaranteed snow slopes to meet all requirements. There are dedicated family slopes here and five black runs that will demand everything from you. The 32 modern lifts take you to the mostly gently sloping, almost treeless slopes. The nearest ski lift to Ried downhill run is only 300 meters away. You can walk there, but as our guest in Perca you also have a parking permit. As a snowboarder and freestyler, you’re in good hands on the Belvedere slope in Plan de Corones Snowpark.

Enjoying nature as you ski cross-country

Cross-country skiers love the Dolomites! The perfectly groomed cross-country trails around Plan de Corones are part of the Dolomiti NirdicSki network and these routes are traveled by connoisseurs, passionate cross-country enthusiasts and competing professionals alike. That says a lot about their quality. In the Val Pusteria side valleys – Val Casies or Valle di Anterselva – you can glide through a paradisial landscape of cross-country trails. And if you're in the mood, you can always stop off at one of our rustic inns along the way.

Off to winter hiking

You want like to immerse yourself at your own pace in nature, snowed in deep, and gather unforgettable impressions on a winter hike? The Plan de Corones region features a network of cleared hiking trails, where you don't need snowshoes. You can explore forests, alpine pastures and idyllic villages at a relaxed pace along the many loop trails. In Val Casies, all around Valdaora and Tesido, in Falzes and of course right here with us in Riscone, you can experience the majestic tranquility of the Dolomites away from the ski slopes.

Paradise for ski touring

Val Pusteria with its side valleys is a special treat for ski tourers. Here you find routes of all levels of difficulty that reach impressive heights away from the ski slopes. Start your own personal winter slowdown program. You will be rewarded by a fabulous panoramic view while exploring secluded mountain areas, followed by downhill runs for every taste. Popular with tourers are Val Casies, the Fanes-Sennes high alpine meadows, the slopes around San Vigilio and of course Valle di Anterselva with its fantastic high elevations.

Total tobogganing

Winter sports enthusiasts know: The best tobogganists in the world come from Val Pusteria. So it means something when you climb on a sled or toboggan yourself in our tobogganing Eldorado. Of course, a winter vacation isn't an Olympic discipline. Just whoosh along down into the valley shouting hooray and enjoy joie de vivre on runners. The Plan de Corones region offers many natural toboggan runs, each with its own features – and night tobogganing under floodlights is becoming very popular.

Ice skating fun

You can't go skating in many other vacation regions because there aren't any ice rinks, but at Plan de Corones ice skating is on the plan for many winter vacations. And it is lots of fun to glide over the ice on your blades and experience an almost weightless, completely different physical awareness so different from the everyday. You can savor this wonderful lightness right at the vacation resort, at the Riscone ice rink, at the Brunico ice rink, on the Monguelfo man-made ice rink and many natural frozen ponds in Val Pusteria.
